Hand-poured with natural soy wax and nestled within a handcrafted mitti cover embedded with seeds, MaPani’s Plantable Diya brings together the warmth of a traditional Diwali diya with a thoughtful approach to conscious living.
Designed to be enjoyed beyond the flame, each diya burns for 15+ hours and is available in soothing natural essences — Lavender, Lemongrass, Mogra, Rose, Vanilla and Sandalwood.
Once the light has gone out, the diya begins a second journey. The mitti cover can be returned to the soil, allowing the seeds within it to grow into new life. We also include additional seeds with every diya, giving you another opportunity to grow something after the celebration is over.

HOW TO USE
Place the diya on a stable, heat-resistant surface and light the wick carefully. Allow the wax to melt evenly during the first burn for a smoother and longer-lasting experience. Trim the wick slightly before every subsequent use for a clean and steady flame.
AFTER THE WAX IS FINISHED – PLANT IT
Allow the diya to cool completely after the final burn.
• Remove the remaining wick and any non-mitti material from the diya
• If there is excess wax left, gently remove it once completely cooled
• Place the mitti cover directly into moist soil or a planter
• Cover it lightly with soil, keeping the seeds close enough to receive moisture
• Water gently and regularly, without overwatering
• Alternatively, you can gently break the mitti into smaller pieces and mix it into the soil
• Use the additional seeds provided to plant more greenery around your home
With sunlight, moisture and a little patience, the diya that once held a flame can become a part of something living.

• Never leave a burning diya unattended
• Keep away from children, pets and flammable materials
• Burn only on a stable, heat-resistant surface
• Keep away from drafts and direct airflow
• Allow the diya to cool completely before handling
• Store unused diyas in a cool and dry place
